Dan is hands down the BEST boudoir photographer I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with.
He’s patient and fun and gets all the best angles! 😉 I’m a mom and wife and sometimes life gets the best of me and I don’t feel like myself. Dan made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and I couldn’t be happier for taking the plunge and doing something for ME! His knowledge as a photographer sets him apart from the rest and it's evident once you see his photos. The confidence you build in a comfortable, welcoming environment is priceless. He is beyond accommodating and has everything already in studio you might need. You could roll right out of bed, walk in, and still leave with the most beautiful pictures ever taken of yourself. You'll also be guided on exactly what to do. Dan will pose with and for you so there isn't any confusion. His communication is great and consistent even after your experience is over. Dan is also great with conversation, so if you're feeling nervous that feeling will quickly fade as he helps you open up. Your boundaries are important to him and never questioned. Soo I did it!! I finally got in to try this Boudoir thing everyone is talking about!! And oh my god what and experience!! From getting my hair and make up done beautifully, to laughing my butt off with Dan Ketcham all day, it was the best decision I’ve made in awhile. Dan did such a fantastic job capturing not only sexy pictures but gorgeous ones of me!! LIKE IS THAT REALLY ME?? HELL YEAH THATS ME!!!! "To all the wonderful ladies out there who have looked at Dan's outstanding work and have thought about booking a session but haven't been able to bring themselves to do it yet, all I have to say is: Do it!
I came up with every excuse in the book as to why I could never do a boudoir shoot - I don't photograph well, I'm awkward, maybe someone I know would see the photos somewhere, I needed to lose a few more pounds, I had no idea what backgrounds/poses/etc would work for me, on and on. I'm sure many of you have similar reservations keeping you from booking a session. Had my very first session today and all I can say is WOW!!!! Came in a bit nervous but Dan made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. And was so encouraging and made me laugh the whole time. I want to start off my saying that my experience with Dan was nothing less than AMAZING!!!! Book your session! Don't give it a second thought. Dan was very professional and helped me with my nerves and he has answered any questions I had from the second I had booked my session. Dan is such a friendly person and made me laugh so much during my session! I am so glad that I had booked with him. I had looked at so many other photographers and the main reason that I chose Dan was because he didn't push me at all to do something that I didn't want. I’m surprised how comfortable I instantly felt I’ve never done anything like this before and it was incredible.
This was an incredible expierence I recommend any lady to do! I gained a little more confidence and all around had a wonderful time! From the very first message he was so helpful and kind! Explained everything I had so many questions! He also has incredible jokes !

Your talent as a photographer was the first thing I noticed but it didn't take long to realize that you were not just in it for the perks of the job. You are genuine.
The fact that you are open and honest and all about respecting what you do and each person that walks through your doors is what made me book an experience. I don't trust lightly. I trust my instincts and it was apparent very quickly that you were the perfect photographer for me.
I would suggest that a friend do a session with DcKetcham Photography to remind themselves that they are beautiful. That seeing themselves through another's eyes is the best thing that they can do for themselves. Doing so with DcKetcham Photography I know they will be 100 percent respected and photographed in a way that will never make them uncomfortable.

Overall I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Besides the fact that I don’t know my left from my right I felt comfortable the whole time. I was so, so nervous in the days leading up to my shoot. So many "what ifs?". "What if I am awkward?" "What if my photos don't look great?" All of those what ifs washed away after I started working with Dan. He has a way of making a completely unfamiliar experience feel natural and fun. He and Nichole, my hair and make up stylists, created such an easy going vibe that it was hard to not feel immediately welcomed. I enjoyed my session with him so so much, and I am SO in love with my photos. I can't wait to do another one!

Hello Ladies! Not sure if everyone knows me, but I’m Lexi! I just wanted to come on, say hello and give you a bit of my story. I started working with Dan in June of 2020. I’ll be honest, I was a completed different person back then. Even though I may be small, petite, skinny… whatever you may call it - I absolutely hated my body and myself. The compliments I got from people and my boyfriend, I couldn’t see or believe them. I was going through a lot of depression due to the self hate. Then I met Dan. We planned our first shoot and let me tell you, I was a nervous wreck! I have never done anything like this before and didn’t know if I’d be a clumsy mess doing it. The moment I walked into the studio and met Dan, I felt a huge relief of comfort. He isn’t there to “see” anything. He isn’t going to let you just wing it and feel uncomfortable. He will make sure you are comfortable and guide you throughout the entire process. He is fully there to support you and encourage you to be YOU. Whatever you are comfortable with, whether it’s fully covered or if you’re brave enough to show some nudity. It’s all up to YOU! Thanks to Dan, I see a completely different version of myself. I feel more confident about not only my body but me in general and even my super supportive boyfriend could tell the difference after my first shoot. All I really want to say is, if you don’t feel like you can do it or you’re going through a lot and not believing you are beautiful - I want to encourage you to work with Dan. I want to encourage you because YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL and Dan is the guy who can show you how beautiful you truly are! What an awesome experience! I was so nervous to do one after turning 40 and just having my third baby. Dan made me so comfortable and the pictures made me feel so beautiful. I definitely havent had the time or the energy lately to do my makeup and hair and even feel sexyE I am so happy I did this and it really gave me a confidence boost! Just because you are a mom and always taking care of others you need to do some self care. I was in for my second session with Dan today & I hope you’re cool if I just share & get really real for a second
TL/DR: my session today was magnificent m
My first session was nearly 2.5 years ago, and it was, metaphorically, my middle finger. Yeah, I made & gifted a book to my husband, but I was (and still am) hellbent on loving and celebrating my body at its biggest right in the ugly face of a culture that doesn’t. It was so freeing and so empowering. I loved every second of it. It was perfect; he totally captured me in that season of life. (I’ll add a few of those in the comments!)
That aggressive self-love journey and learning experience led me to places & experiences I couldn’t imagine, and I’ve learned so much about listening to and appreciating this body of mine. It’s more than any weight lost - it’s about how my body and I became friends and worked together to do stuff, and I’m proud of it. Not because it’s smaller, but because it’s mine and I get to do fun sh*t with it!
That aside, I’ve had a real time with body image disturbance in recent weeks/months - and I almost didn’t even realize it. I wound up buying clothes in the wrong sizes and it started revealing itself to me. I wasn’t really seeing myself as I am, but still kind of as I was.
Which brings me to todays session i
I knew I was ready because I wanted to celebrate how far I’d come, but it really came at the perfect time. I feel like Dan saw me as I am yet again, and caught me fully in this current season, too. I feel celebrated, respected, hyped, and powerful. We laughed so much and I had FUN. It felt good and I know self-love is serious business, but it was-it was just fun!
Those of you who know already know - Dan’s the most genuine & real person, so honest in his encouragement and talented at what he does. An absolute professional, but also, human, funny, and kind. He’s the type of person who believes in you so much you start to believe in yourself. We all need that friend & I’m grateful Dan uses his gifts to show us ourselves, to show me myself. Again ly
And I couldn’t go without mentioning Jessica! Jessica did my hair and make up, and she totally got me. I’ve had my make up done before, and felt like I wasn’t understood fully or heard, but Jessica totally did. Hours later and I’m still in my eyelashes and everything because she made me feel so pretty!
I could go on & on all day, but I’ll just wrap up my post by just saying today was incredible. Incredible.
